This book is more than a catalogue; it is a vital document. It offers a richer, more nuanced portrait of Juvenal Sansó, seen not only through the eyes of his collectors but also through the perspectives of scholars who have deeply engaged with his work. The result is a testament to why Sansó and his art remain both prized and profoundly personal.

Over 600 previously unseen works have been documented through this exhibition cycle and are now preserved within these pages. More than 5,000 words of interviews and contextual analyses further illuminate the significance of his oeuvre. By bringing private collections and historical insights to light, this book deepens the public’s understanding of Sansó’s genius, ensuring that his legacy endures for future generations.

The volume includes interviews with private collectors such as Jack Teotico, Marlon and Marissa Sanchez, Raffy Simpao, Eliot and Cherry Maguan, Jeffrey Dayrit, Pepper Teehankee, Raffy Cuevas and Rey Gonzales, Miguel Zubiri, and Mohammad Ronaghi. It also features conversations between Sanso and noted scholars Ambeth Ocampo, Cid Reyes, Ray Albano, and Leonidas Benesa, as well as an essay by Thelma Sioson San Juan.
