"As the Cycle Begins Again" by Ricky Francisco

Ricky Francisco is a self-taught artist whose practice explores light, stillness, and the metaphysical possibilities of abstraction. Rooted in minimalist and meditative sensibilities, his works investigate the tension between luminosity and shadow, force and restraint, creating atmospheric fields that evoke both contemplation and the quiet intensity of daily life. Francisco has mounted two solo exhibitions at Galerie Stephanie (Square, 2024) and has exhibited at Art Fair Philippines (2025), MoCAF (2022), and in group exhibitions in Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Hong Kong. His work is held in the permanent collection of Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (IloMoCA) and was featured in 6th Dimension: Culture-Driven Nation at Museo de Pacis (2025). In 2024, Innoland commissioned his largest work to date—a 3.2 x 3.2 meter painting installed at The Altaire, Makati.
