"9 Fishes" by Mario Parial

This ceramic mug is based on Parial’s artwork entitled “9 Fishes”. 

Parial developed his art with high distinction, exploring a wide range of themes rooted in Philippine culture, including fiestas, rituals, and folklore. His subjects included the Moriones Festival, the Nazareno of Quiapo, anting-anting (amulets), masks and jesters, omens of good fortune such as fishermen, colorful kites, fruit vendors, harvest scenes, and female market vendors.

Mario Parial x Fundacion Sansó is part of the program under “I CaRE: Initiative for the Continuation of Artist’s Estate” wherein the museum will help the Artist's Estate to develop through merchandising, skill transfer, and copyright resources.
